A Scene from Ghostbusters

The bridge scene from Ghostbusters was always one of my favorite parts of the movie. It not only set up the final act perfectly, but it provided a serious edge that made the rest of the movie that much better. Dan Aykroyd and Ernie Hudson played the movie's sole dramatic scene perfectly, and the music just further enhanced it. By the way, the song playing at the end of the scene was "Judgement Day" by Elmer Bernstein, available only on the Varese film score (track #25).

Ghostbusters was on VH1 night before last, and even edited for television it remains one of the best movies ever created. When they got to the bridge, I was reminded not only of how much I liked the scene, but also of the way the New York City skyline looked as dawn broke. I felt it was fitting to remember the way that skyline looked.
