Meet me at the Cafe Friedrichstrasse

Gotcha! had a surprisingly thorough relationship with the James Bond movies of the era. Released the same year as A View to a Kill, both movies start with their hero (Roger Moore as Bond and Anthony Edwards playing Johnathan Moore) going from a "home base" setup scene to Paris, where they meet a mysterious woman and uncover a Soviet plot. The heroes go undercover to investigate, and end up having to deal with reluctant local police during the final act set in southern California. Bonus points for the next movie in the Bond franchise—The Living Daylights—having a pre-title sequence that has the characters using paintball guns.
