Tip for April 2004: A New Way to Rust
TIP BY CORY REED
Traditional rusting techniques tend to stay in the red end of the spectrum, but real-world rust comes in a variety of colors. This technique makes a great sulfur oxide type corrosion. First, start with Krylon Ruddy Brown Primer and Testors Gloss Yellow. Empty some of the Ruddy Brown into a lid, then use a brush to roughly dab the paint onto the model. Before the paint has a chance to set, dry brush some yellow into the Ruddy Brown so that the two colors start to mix.
