Smoking Kills Chrome

Tip for July 2006:
Finished Models=No Smoking Zone

If you are a smoker, try to make sure your models are secured in display cases or are otherwise kept separate from "smoking areas." Notice the two wheels in the photo: the one on the right was mounted on a car that was in an area exposed to smoking. The other wheel is the spare tire from the same car, kept under the trunk mat. Over time, the exposed parts start to take on a dull yellow hue and greasy/sticky texture (chrome, paint, glass, and rubber are all susceptible). After all the work you've put into a kit - or, if you're a collector, all the money you've invested - be sure to keep your models looking good for as long as possible.
