Check the Diecast Aisle

The next time you're in the toy section, be sure to check out the smaller scale diecast vehicles. Hot Wheels cars will often have exaggerated engines that can provide air cleaners, scoops, and even superchargers that are appropriate for 1/24 scale. There are also diecasts that can provide details that might be useful for a specific model: for example, Rigor Motor has skull decorations that can be used for shift knobs or mirror hangers. For more unique projects, be sure to check for various jet engines, wings, propellers, and other assorted greebles.
