Tip for November 2008:
Build & Grow Clinics
Here's a fun project you can do with your kids: Lowe's offers "Build and Grow" clinics in their stores twice every month. These clinics allow kids to build simple wood kits at no cost right there in the store, so you don't even need to use your own tools or work area. The clinics help teach basic tool use and assembly procedure, and the kits go together easily enough that new builders won't get frustrated or bored. Once finished, they get to keep the project, a project-specific patch, a certificate of completion, and the safety goggles and aprons used for the build. You can find out more at
lowesbuildandgrow.com, or check near the front of your nearby Lowes store to see when the next clinic will be.
