Tip for December 2008:
Portable Reference Guide
Sometimes it's hard to find enough room for your tools and projects, let alone refernce material like books, magazines, or a computer. So turn your phone into a portable reference guide: make an album of guides you regularly use (like wiring diagrams), and take or load photos of specific images for the project you're currently working on. If you can't transfer pictures easily from your computer to your phone, just load the image on your computer and take a snapshot of the screen. Depending on your specific phone's capabilities, you may also be able to write notes, dictate ideas to play back later, and capture videos. Doing this will let you keep the full library out of your work space and have all the specific references you need in a package smaller than a deck of cards.
