Tip for April 2011:
Canvas Sunroofs
Sliding canvas sunroofs were a popular option for many cars, including Citroëns, Volkswagens, and Fiats. Replicating one in scale is pretty easy: cut a few strips of sheet styrene into narrow crescent shapes, and glue them concave edge down to the existing roof to form the bows. Then cut a rectangle of cloth tape (I like
gaffer's tape) just a little bit larger than the bows. You can then finish the leading edge with a rain shield, and with just a few minutes' worth of work you've given your car a whole new look.
