Decal Color Theory
If you want to try making your own decals for your models, remember that most inks and toners are translucent, and will allow the color of the paint to bleed through. So make adjustments to your file before you print it: for example, magenta ink over a yellow paint job will appear red (see photo). It also means that you can't apply light colors over dark paint jobs, and will have to switch to white-backed decal stock for those graphics.
