She Didn't Just Drive a Car, She Drove an Industry

Bertha Benz was a stone-cold legend. In a single day she managed to invent brake pads, fuel stations, and road trips. She was the first roadside mechanic when things went sideways, fixing the inevitable failings of the first car being driven for the first time. Plus, she did it all in a stolen ride while making the first car commercial. Mercedes didn't quite frame it that way for their 2018 short Bertha Benz: The First Driver, though the expression Bertha (actress Sofie Hoflack?) gives the camera near the end of the spot suggests she had an inkling.
