Round 2 Models will be showing off its ultimate in model kits in October. Slated to hit stores in December, visitors of the Round 2 booth can get a sneak peek of the Batmobile in person.

The iHobby Expo in Chicago on Oct. 24-25 will be celebrating its 25th anniversary this year. Promising to be even better than last year's show, more than 200 vendors from around the world will be showing off their hottest products. For specifics about iHobby, click here!

Not only will we have the 1966 Batmobile buildup, we'll also be announcing all of our releases for the first half of 2010, presenting our first model kit catalog and showing mockup and test shot builds of our new 1/1000 scale U.S.S. Enterprise 1701 Refit kit.

The Original TF&TF Hot Rod

Over a decade before Vin Diesel was even born, John Ireland and Dorothy Malone were in the original The Fast and the Furious (not to be confused with any of the prewar movies titles "Fast and Furious"). This movie was doubly inspiring, providing a title for one movie and the plot of another. It also inspired me to use a kit that I had in my collection as a basis for the star of the film.

Transformers on DVD Tomorrow

Just a reminder: Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen is coming out on DVD ^& Blu-ray tomorrow, with several stores carrying special offers with the movie (Seibertron.com has a full breakdown of who will have what exclusive here).

Guess the Movie Car Quiz

I usually skip online quizzes, but this one actually has a pretty good mix of obvious and lesser-known vehicles. You can check it out here.

Revenge of the Fallen Human Alliance Upgrades

The Human Alliance figure series has presented a unique opportunity for me: vehicles that are very nearly to scale with the rest of my Transformers model collection with almost no work needed to make them match the prototypes. "Almost" being the operative word here: although they are generally very well done, a few details were skipped as part of the mass-production process. But with a little touch-up paint and some minor mechanical upgrades, I now have my own versions of Bumblebee, Sideswipe, and Skids.

Head Games

It only took eight years, but thanks to NECA and their current line of Terminator 2 figures, my McFarlane T-800 now has a proper head.

Come and Listen to My Story 'Bout a Well Known Car...

Television first, and then a movie star.
Way back when there was a model kit,
Then a few years ago AMT reissued it
(Same kit, that is...different box art...same parts)

Well the next thing I know, I've purchased one or two
Lookin' at the parts I said "this one sure ain't new
Nothin' seems to fit and everything is rough
But the 1:1 wasn't pretty so this shouldn't be too tough."
(Gotta do some weatherin' that is...dust and dirt...faded paint)

Now the model's all done and I think it turned out well
Tried a couple new techniques that worked pretty swell
Oil paints and pastels and a host of other things
And then this little ditty for those of you who like to sing
(Y'all see the model here now)
