The One About a Car and the One About a Church

I'm at an age where I fondly remember the classic country songs about cars and driving - from Eddie Rabbit's "Driving My Life Away" to Johnny Cash's "One Piece at a Time" to George Jones' "The One I Loved Back Then." There were movies that were little more than extended country music videos like Convoy or Smokey and the Bandit, while Kenny Rogers starred in and provided the soundtrack to the racing movie Six Pack. So it's nice to see that tradition being kept alive today with hits like Maren Morris' "Circles Around this Town."

I Can't Wait Till We Can Do It Again

So, when I was pulling kits out for this year, I got to the "New Monkeemobile" and remember reading about how Monogram never properly updated the kit - just the body and wheels. So over the summer I kept an eye out at shows and online for a later Mustang kit I could use for the correct parts, and came up empty. Anything remotely close was priced way out of what I was willing to spend, so I resigned myself to jsut building it straight out of the box, errors and all. Then I opened the box and discovered that at some point in the years between when I bought hte kit and today, I had already acquired a correct interior and dropped it in the box. Thanks, past me!
