The Drive-In Lives!
Saturday, May 26. 2007
I'm fortunate enough to live in an area where there are several Drive-In theaters still around. My favorite of the lot has always been the Greenville Drive-In, located on Route 32 about a half-hour south of Albany. It's not necessarily the most convenient for me, but the atmosphere has always been one of the best and the family and I happily make the trip to it when we can.
They just opened this weekend with Pirates of the Caribbean and Wild Hogs, and the theater is under new management this year. They've made quite a few improvements to the place, but kept the same great setting it has had all along (it has been open every year since it was first opened in 1955). If you get a chance, I highly recommend you check it out - you sure can't beat $8 per person for two shows!
