Jada Snap & Build Section is now Online

Jada has now launched the "Snap & Build" section of their web site, featuring their most recent snap-together model kits from Speed Racer and The Dark Knight (though still no signs of a Tumbler yet). You can see what kits they have available here.

Never Mind...

About a month ago, I had grabbed one of the Hot Wheels Mach 5 R/C cars to turn into a 1/24 movie car to go with my Polar Lights kit. Little did I know that Hot Wheels was releasing a 1/24 diecast version as well.



Fortunately, I have plenty of other project ideas that can be done with the first Mach 5 I bought...

1972 Batmobile

I noticed that I had very few representations of 1970s Batmobiles in my collection, so I've started to correct that with this car. Based on the appearance in Batman #246, this was the first "stock" Batmobile used in the comics.

Reel Rides Site Update

Looks like Reel Rides has updated their site to reflect wave two, but it's not good news for 1/24 collectors: none of the new releases have the larger scale listed as one of the options. Hopefully future releases won't be as limited.

Birds of Prey on DVD!

Birds of Prey will finally see DVD release this July 15. Although fans haven't been waiting nearly as long for this show as, say, the Batman TV series, it's still been a while and it will be nice to be able to pick up the set. Full details of the release (including the box art) can be seen here.
