Massive Site Update

Today marks the launch of several new site features that I've been working on for quite a while now. First up, a downloads page so that I can share some of the modeling-related stuff I've found or created over the years. It's a tad sparse right now, but I'll be filling it in over the next few weeks and will continue to expand it in the years to come. One of the things currently up in this section is sure to you busy for a while: an Advertisement Archive featuring magazing and comic book ads from the last forty years of scale modeling.

Next, a set of pages created to help out new modelers and their families: a Hobby Safety Guide and a Parents' Guide to Modeling. I want to make sure that as many people get the chance to enjoy this hobby as possible, and so have created these pages to help give parents and other family members an idea of what all goes into modeling.

Finally, the Tips page has been broken ito two sections: the main Tips & Techniques page has become an archive of all of the previous "Tip of the Month" features (including the new July tip), while the rest of the page has been moved to its pwn Tips for New Modelers page.

With all of these new features, I'm continuing my efforts to encourage new and previous modelers to try out the hobby. As always, if you have any thoughts or sugestions about something you'd like to see here, let me know!
