If you've visited this weblog in the last few days, you may have noticed an occasional MySQL error pop up. Long story short, an uptick in traffic was hitting it harder than it could handle, and I finally needed to install the long-overdue upgrade. The guys who created Serendipity swore up and down on their site that updating was ridiculously easy, and that I had no excuse for not doing so. Turns out they were correct, and today I replaced the old version with Serendipity 1.4.1. All of my testing so far has been error-free, and aside from a few remaining stylesheet tweaks you should notice no real difference aside from more uptime. Thanks to the guys who put this weblog system together for making the upgrade so easy. I promise not to wait so long next time.
