Background

Hot Wheels' Monster Jam sponsorship ended in 2018, making 2017 the last year for their Batman truck. They would continue making their own range of monster trucks, while the Monster Jam license would go to Spin Master.

Packaging

Essentially a carryover year, the only difference between the 2016 and 2017 packaging was the copyright on the bottom and co-sells on the back.

Casting/Paint

Only a couple of minor paint changes differentiate this from last year's Batman: the copyright information is no longer on the right side of the truck under the Bat symbol, and the Monster Jam logos on the roof and sides have yellow triangles instead of gray.

Features/Accessories

No change from the previous release.

Accuracy

Photos of the truck show both gray and yellow accents on the logos, so that's a toss-up. Technically, the actual truck never had copyright text on it, making this the more accurate paint job.

Overall

As a final entry in Mattel's history of 1/24 scale Monster Jam Batman trucks, this is a fine one to end on. Quality was pretty consistent across the years, and any one of them would be a good addition to your Batman or Batmobile collection.
