When I built the WeGo with Frame Arms Gourai, I found the little potato-shaped mech to be a fun build and an oddly endearing addition to my collection. I didn't want to pursue the full series, but when this "Sports" version happened to come up I decided to pick it up.

As before, the bulk of the build was box stock. Hasegawa had replaced or added on to many of the exterior parts with new "sporty" components, including the feet, lower legs, torso, forearms, and head. Assembly was just as clever and easy as before, and the new parts integrated with no problems. The only change I made was to the lower "mouth," which was supposed to have a colored plug but I swapped this out for a bit of mesh to make another air intake.

I decided that since the panels were new, I'd treat them as such. Rather than the well-used metallic look of the previous WeGo, I decided the Sports model should have lightweight plastic panels - so no scuffs, dents, or worn paint. The only "body" paint that I applied was a bright gloss red to the stripes, otherwise I simply polished the plastic to remove any casting artifacts and give it an even sheen. The few details that needed attention like the forearm bands, hip and shoulder rings, side intakes, eyes, and taillights were taken care of before assembly.
